New Afrika-Bulletin No. 188 out now!

We are happy to announce that the essays of the participants of our interdisciplinary MOOC-based course in Spring 2022 are featured in the newest Afrika-Bulletin No. 188. The blended-learning course was facilitated by Dr. Tanja Hammel at the Department of History and dealt with the topic of African contributions to global health.

From research to the production of medicines and vaccines to health policy – the structures of international health are essentially shaped by the colonial past and are constantly reproduced. Therefore the need for decolonizing the field of health is immense. The aim of the current Afrika-Bulletin is to contribute to this need.

Published quarterly and in German, the Afrika-Bulletin is a journal of the Africa Committee Basel in cooperation with the Center for African Studies at the University of Basel.
